The"Museo Diffuso" is the local museum system. It gathers several realities present in the towns of the Mugello, the Upper Mugello and the Sieve Valley: it is divided in systems, each of which includes museum points, educational laboratories, itineraries.

The systems are four:

• The naturalistic system is coordinated by the Museum of the Historical Landscape of the Appennines which is found in the Abbey of Moscheta.
• The archeological system could be enjoyed through itineraries that touch the most important archeological sites of the territory and working museums specialized in the prehistoric sector, both old and mediaeval: the Upper Mugello Archaelogical Museum, the Sant' Agata Centre of Archaeological Documentation, the Archaelogical Museum of Dicomano and the Etruscan ruins in Frascole.
• The demo - etno - anthropological system assembles the Museums of Cutting Blades, the Museum of Farm Life and Custom of Casa d'Erci, the Faini Mill, the Museum of Pietra Serena, the Museum of Mountain Folk, the Museum of Wine and the Vine, the Centre for Historical Research and Documentation  “Gotica Toscana” and the Crafts and farming by Leprino
• The museums of the historical artistic possessions include the Chini Ceramic Museum (with the  Museo dei Bambini" dedicated to children) of Villa Pecori Giraldi, the Museum of Sacred Art and Popular Religiousness, the Home of Giotto, the Sant'Agata Collection of Sacred Art and the collection of Sacred Works of art at Bosco ai Frati Convent
