Friday, October 20 at 17.00 in the Hall of the Municipal Library, in Piazza don Milani 7 in Vicchio will be held the conference "The lesson of Don Milani between memory and future".
The meeting sees a wide and differentiated presence of speakers:
• Bruno Becchi, professor of literature at the Liceo Giotto Ulivi and author of articles and essays on don Milani;
• Aldo Bondi, former teacher also, editor of the dossier of Testimonies;
• Severino Saccardi, Director of Testimonies;
• Valdo Spini, president of the Circolo fratelli Rosselli Foundation.
• Andrea Banchi, cultural operator of the University of the free age, who will coordinate the interventions.
The conference intends to resume the strong themes of the life of the prior of Barbiana, in particular his commitment to the school, but also the choice of conscientious objection, the evangelization of the people and in particular of the poorest, to re-read them in the contemporary and also in new contexts.
